  • Condition: This Jacobs Brothers Number 3 red balance scale is in great condition and measures weight accurately. There is no rust on the cast iron and it has the original red paint. There are some small paint specs on the surface that will flake off with a little effort. The metal scoop is in very good condition with great character and no rust. The 1 and 2 lb. weights are accurate. Please see pictures for a more detailed description.

    Description

    This antique scale was made in the early 1900's by Jacobs Brothers in New York City. It weighs 10 lbs. 14 oz. and was used as a merchant's scale for dry goods.
    The base is 11.5 inches with an overall width of 20 inches. It is 11.5 inches tall. It is in very good useable condition and measures accurately. This scale will add character and charm to any kitchen, rec room, or even a restaurant as a decorator’s piece.
